LIST
LECTURE
Week 1
In this module, we will be creating our own environment design derived from an existing IP.
The first thing we will do is to find references and compile them using Pureref, to create the fundamentals and key style we want to create.
And we are also allowed to use AI generators for more inspiration.
Week 2
This week, our lecture explain the process of ideation and its purpose.

Temple Sketch
For this exercise, we are going to make temple drawings.
First, we gather image references to create a base for the type of temple we want to make and explore through the designs.
Rought Sketch
I first make a rough concept of what kind of temple I want it to be and where it will be, how will it look from different perspectives. Then I make a rough colour to create an ambience of how it will feel.
Final Submission
FEEDBACK
- Fix the perspective of the sketch, make it more circular like a fish eye filter.
- Breakdown the structure and add details
- Fix the lighting and ambience
REFLECTION
Doing this exercise helps my brain to keep thinking about what I can do to emphasize the object or the very scene I want to protrude into view. Trying to draw the same thing but from different angles, as well as adding more details make me feel the image of the temple in my mind became more stronger.
At first, it all starts with rough lines with no definite object and just background colours, but then the drawing is slowly formed, the colours are still rough but help in defining the objects.
