LIST
LECTURES
Week 1
In this lecture, the teachers brief us about the module and the group project we will need to work on. But before we start the project we are to be needed to find a group. Each group must at least have 3 from BDCM and 3 from other courses, if not then a different semester will do.
But since there are a lot of BDCM within the same semester the teacher will help in allocating and approving the group before they start doing the project.
Netnography
"A type of online or internet, ethnography; Netnography provides guidelines for the adaptation of participant-observation procedures to the contingencies of online community and culture that manifest through computer-mediated communications."-(Kozinets,2010)
Ethnography
Ethnography was used to study culture, but it takes a long time because you have hands-on experience in the culture itself, observing and face-to-face interaction on the site.

Data Collection
3 types of Data to Collect:
- Archive
- data without researcher's involvement
- Elicited
- co-created by researchers & members
- Fieldnotes
- observational and reflective notes
Ethical Netnography
- Identify and Explain yourself
- Ask for permission
- Consult with experts/look up credible references
- Informed consent
- Citation, crediting
- There is a high scope of potential valuable data
- It can overcome geographical Limitations
- Data is naturally-occurring
- There is the opportunity to discover unexpected findings
- Data may be available online that wouldn't be unearthed in a face-to-face context
- It is contemporary
- It is largely empirical and not contextual
- Researchers may not be familiar with online platforms or choose irrelevant online platforms
- Data collection and analysis mey be time-consuming or may have invalid data
Week 2
This week we will have our session with our teacher who will give feedback to us on our project that we will present in the meeting.
Week 3: Q&A
For this week there are no classes but there is a Q&A session for us if there are some groups who need to ask some things.

FEEDBACK Week 2 In our second week, we consulted with our mentor Mr.Vinod for our project. In the meeting, Mr.Vinod gave us feedback about our progress. The specific feedback that Mr. Vinod gave us is to discuss and figure out among the group to decide which is the most practical for the time frame given and carry on with it. Make sure there is a clear connection between the product and the purpose/theme, articulate it well, no space for doubt. Week 3 General feedback: Amend rationale to include the theme of "PURPOSE" as well. Can define purpose personally or use dictionary definition. Integrate purpose into the culture chosen and produce the rationale. Specific feedback: The main purpose is to raise awareness and educate. The research objectives and questions encompass the same intended outcome so it can be summarized into one or broken down according to the group's preference. Remember that despite what we learn about the topic, in the end, choose ONE MESSAGE to communicate through the final product. REFLECTIONS As one of the parts of the group, I was very quiet and didn't participate much in the meeting. All I did was do what we were supposed to do, finishing all the tasks given. I really appreciate what our leader does, she would try to remember our participation in the work and would equally help to separate our work, as well as make us do the project together.
