LECTURE
Week 10
For this week Mr. Vinod has briefed us about our next task. We are needed to make a sticker which could be used on telegram.
The size of the paper will be 512 x 512 pixels and will be in a form of PNG without background. Using the 10 typefaces provided, we could also add minor graphical elements. The size of the sticker must be legible and must use as much space as possible. After the sticker has been made we then need to test it or upload it to see if the sticker came out well (using telegram, WhatsApp, or other sticker makers).
INSTRUCTION
Before I begin to sketch I look for some sticker examples in various apps (Telegram, WhatsApp, Line, etc.)

| Fig. 1.2 Telegram stickers |
Looking at these stickers, I conclude that each sticker use nearly the entire space of the paper, and each would have a thick outline for a more visible silhouette or outline.
I also tried to upload a sticker using a screenshot I took from a manga.

After testing the stickers, I start making the sketch. I had chosen Hungry Ghost Festival for this task. I look at the internet about the Hungry Ghost Festival and found that this activity is held on the 15th night of the seventh month.
Taoists and Buddhists would perform rituals to transmute and absolve the sufferings of the deceased. Activities during the month would include preparing ritualistic food offerings, burning incense, and burning joss paper, a paper-mâché form of material items such as clothes, gold, and other fine goods for the visiting spirits of the ancestors. Elaborate meals (often vegetarian meals) would be served with empty seats for each of the deceased in the family treating the deceased as if they are still living.
After reading about the Hungry Ghost Festival or Ghost Day, I start making various ideas of how my text will be.

Then I choose the one with the green glow, then I immediately make it using both illustrator and photoshop.

After showing the static version to Mr. Vinod, he advised me to do something with the color so it could be visible on a different colored background and gave me some ideas of how I should make the eye on in the letter O.

FEEDBACK
Week 11
For my sketch, Mr. Vinod particularly like the words with the green background, he also warned me about the Taylors logo being input in the text. It is because the T logo is very chunky or thick looking which is why he wants me to be aware of it since using it within a typeface may result in the text looking not so good.
For other sketches that I did, he responded that one of the sketches relies too much on the ghost graphical elements, and the one with the moon might cause the text to look small.
Week 12
Looking at my 1st type design, Mr. Vinod told me that it is good, but he also advised me to add something because the design does look good on a dark background but he was unsure if it works well on a brighter background. Then he also told me to bring the words more closer because there was too much gap between the words vertically.
Afterward, he gave me a demonstration and advice for me to make the words O and the eye at the middle to make it more like a monster or demon eye. He then gives me a suggestion to add a highlight to the words and lastly told me not to stretch the T logo.
REFLECTION
When making this, I didn't have much idea of what I could add or minor elements that I could implement on this design, what's more, the color is the biggest challenge for me to decide because I feel that every shade of green has a different impact on the text impression.
Originally for the second attempt, the color at the inner part was a bit brighter than the current one, but despite trying to change it, the mesh tool would change the color and it put me in a difficult situation of wondering if I should go on or try to readjust it again.
There are still many tools I found in photoshop and illustrator and I have tried and played with them, this is how I found the mesh tool, even if it did help me swayed the color, it also make the color look a bit strange.
