Week 6 Task:

  • Edit week 5 footage, sync it with sound.
  • Decide final project medium, visual effects video or stop motion (animation stream do stop motion), define the theme and story outline.

Stop Motion:

  1. Define the theme(choose one):
  2. Watch lots of stop motions (online).
  3. Choose the type of stop motion: Clay? Paper cut-out? Lego?

Visual Effects Video:

  1. Watch lots of visual effects or optical illusion videos.
  2. Select 3 visual effects or optical illusion tricks.
  3. Find a tutorial online (to know how to make it):
  4. Based on the 3 visual effects/optical illusion, write a ONE minute simple story (One or two-character, less than 3 locations)

Post it in your blog, we review it on week 7 class.

In the video above we learn how to sync our audio with the video using Premiere Pro. There are 3 methods.

Method 1: Merging

  • Select both Audio and Video clip; Right-click and select "merge clips".
  • Make the circle in Audio is filled in.

  • Then click okay. It will process the clips and create a new merge clip in the Project Panel.
  • Right-click on the merge clips and select "New sequence from clip" and start editing.

Method 2: Synchronize

  • First, drag and drop the Audio and Video clip into a new sequence and make them relatively align as best as you can.
  • Next highlight the clip all the clips using a rectangular marquee; Righ-click and select synchronize.

Method 3: Manual

It is done by using the wave forms in the timeline:

  • Zoom in on the timelines so you can see the audio waveforms.
  • If you do not see a waveform, go to the Wrench Icon and make sure there's a checkmark next to show audio waveform.
  • Next is to manually adjust the audio with the matching wavelength and form.


INSTRUCTION

Exercise 1

For this task, We are going to record and sync our voice with a movie clip provided by Mr. Martin.

Audio Editing 2

In this exercise we will be editing the provided audio using Audition. The first effect is a phone call effect.

To achieve this, I refer to the instruction and set Parametric Equalizer.

Audio Editing Exercise 3: Sound Design

REFLECTION

In these exercise I had learn a lot of thing about editing and syncing audio using adobe audition. It was very fun actually, playing with the effects create a different sound, so I was very interested doing this task.
